Fun is in
You’ve got to see this video. Volkswagon was exploring whether “fun” can motivate people to change behavior. In the process they discovered brilliant ways to activate public space! Who knew fun could achieve so much?
Know of other spaces that engage people in exciting ways? Share them here (snapshots welcome)!

Love it. Prob is once it becomes pervasive everyone will just say it’s annoying. I think the finding is: keep it fresh.
Go VW! Using fun to influence visitor behavior? What a novel idea! Where’s the fun in museums? We keep trying to shove castor oil down visitors’ throats and somehow expect that our exhibits will actually affect change?
The piano one brings back memories… I have been into electronic music for years, and have played with alternative triggers myself occasionally. I once played a show where we threw a large beach ball with some crude wireless impact sensors on it into the audience, and it was triggering audio samples from our equipment. So I would take the stairs:)
